- Hello all,
-
- In the continuing saga of connecting a Seagate ST225 MFM drive to my A500,
- I've been advised that the best way to do this is by using an A2090a
- board. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make an adapter that will
- convert my A500's Zorro I slot to a Zorro II slot. I've looked at the hack
- in Aminet, and though some of it seems straight forward, the wiring-up of
- the chip doesn't - in plain english; I just don't get how to make it! To
- add further problems, I have a memory expansion currently hogging my
- A500's Zorro I slot, and it doesn't have a through port. The Aminet hack
- doesn't seem to support a through port - can my Amiga cope with that or
- will it have a tantrum? At the moment, it seems like I'll gain a
- hard-drive, but loose 2mb of memory!
-
- Can anyone help?
-
- I'd just like to take the opportunity of thanking all those people who
- have posted and mailed advice to me so far on the topic of connecting this
- drive to my Amiga!
-
- Tim.
